WP1 – ASKFOOD Smart Atlas: emerging Skills Needs, Trends and Demand

The aims of this work package and its tasks are to:

  • Generate an interactive repository of emerging skills and professional profiles linked to present needs and to future trends in the food-related sectors;
  • Guarantee an effective match between demand and offer of knowledge in food-related sectors, based on anticipation of disruptive mega & microtrends that affect skill demand;

The concrete output is to set a future/forward-looking knowledge basis for the development of learner-led academic and CPD training.

WP2 - ASKFOOD Innovative Training Hub and Knowledge Cluster

The aims of this work package and its tasks are to:

  • Establish a Joint Platform (ASKFOOD Innovative Training Hub) to share, test and apply disruptive training solutions, collecting inputs, contents and supports from academia, industry, and other key stakeholders in the food-related sectors.
  • Guarantee an evolutionary scheme to both academic and CDP training that can respect the three criteria of disruptive learner-led training: (1) personalized; (2) situated and context-specific; (3) authentic.
  • Bring together the various stakeholders (ASKFOOD Knowledge Clusters) to foster successful learning for students and graduates, as well as for industry staff and other stakeholders – according to their needs.

WP3 - ASKFOOD Innovative Training Package

The aims of this work package and its tasks are to:

  • Innovate existing training schemes for different target groups (students, teachers, managers, professionals, start-up entrepreneurs, innovation brokers); (b) Test a certification scheme and common Recognition, Accreditation and Validation standards for innovative training in food-related sectors;
  • Run pilot and selective (de)activation of training models in the partner organizations;
  • Consolidate and scale up the innovative training schemes by transferring the pilots from one food-related sector to another.

WP4 – ASKFOOD Reversed Incubator

The aims of this work package and its tasks are to:

  • Connect the resources and the ideas generated in WP1 and WP2 into an innovative platform that supports the entrepreneurial generativity and new models to re-think and do business;
  • Improve industry-oriented professional skills of students, teachers and industry professionals and integrate science and technology skills into industry by investing in an open ecosystem to connect and contaminate talents, ideas and entrepreneurial initiatives to multiply the value of the entire value chain of the food-related sectors;
  • Support an industry-driven generation of innovative start-ups.

WP5 – ASKFOOD Permanent Alliance

Decision making on skills adaptation is challenging both in a private and in a public dimension. The aims of this WP and its tasks are:

  • To set up a Permanent Observatory that can feed a 3.0 wiki platform connecting the wider number of stakeholders within the food-related sectors;
  • To create a Common Consensus on strategic guidelines to connect a multi-fund supporting scheme for academic and CDP innovative training in the food and food-related sectors to the ESF, ERDF and EARDF Operational Programs 2014-2020. The Integrated Innovative Training Investment can be the equivalent of ITI in urban regeneration, but applied to integrate training programs that combine different ESI and private funds;
  • To design future Flagship Projects and a joint project’s pipeline that can continue over time the activity of the ASKFOOD Knowledge Alliance.

WP6 – Quality Assurance

The aim of this work package and its tasks is to guarantee the quality of the project processes and the achievement of the results against the predetermined standards. A Quality guideline handbook will be developed and serve as basis for continuous quality monitoring.

WP7 – Evaluation

The aim of this work package and its tasks is to determine whether the project planning and implementation are effective, and the planned results and expected impact are met.

WP8 – Dissemination & Exploitation

This work package and its tasks are aimed to define, develop and coordinate any dissemination of the project and its results to create awareness of the project undertakings and output by:

  • Dissemination strategy. It will include a stakeholder analysis, target groups and end-users, dissemination guidelines, development of templates, design and definition of the general dissemination material and related channels.
  • Development of website and dissemination material
  • Ongoing engagement of all stakeholder groups and support of consortium partners
  • IPR management and Exploitation (Identifying exploitable knowledge and developing an exploration plan)

WP9 – Management

This WP and its task are aimed to develop all necessary management activities including, among others: Development and updating of detailed project plans, provision of necessary guidelines and guidance, support to the WP Leaders, organization and moderation of consortium and Management relevant meetings, supporting the decision making process in the project, coordination of overall Project activities, supporting and enabling the project internal communication (in collaboration also with WP3-dissemination), coordination of the financial and content related reports, development of any additional necessary project documentation (such as a project manual) and serving as a contact point towards the project sponsor.
